Lastly, before I forget, I’m updating this from my phone and there might be some errors that will definitely be fixed later. Okay, enough from me. I hope you enjoy *ANGERRR ISSUESSS*

Anger Issues.

There have been days that I’ve gotten so mad and totally lost control. When I’m having my ‘anger moments’, it’s hard to calm me down and most times, I say things I end up regretting. I’ve said a lot of things that I wish I could take back and some of my actions.. oh no, let’s not even go there!

Mum said she used to be like me when she was younger. Dad said the same too but as they grew up, they learned and they’ve influenced me positively by their actions. My parents have taught me a lot about how to control my anger and my sudden outbursts. On some days, I just look at them and I’m like, “how do they manage this self control?” With time, I’ve come to realize that it takes God and self discipline. I feel I’m getting better now. I’ve actually learned not to let my emotions get the better of me and I try to stay calm and rationalize my thoughts so I don’t end up being in the wrong even when I’m right. Anger kills from the inside. It creates this empty void and when coupled with unforgiveness, it’s worse.

What does the Bible say about anger? In the book of Proverbs chapter 19:11, it is said that a wise man restrains his anger and overlooks insults. This is to his credit. There’s another funny verse I came across in Proverbs chapter 21:19, that it is better to live in the desert than with a quarrelsome, complaining woman😂.

From experience, I know that we may never be able to correct those mistakes we’ve made due to our angry choices. Whether we like it or not, that moment will pass and life will go on so why not just stay calm and avoid doing something you’ll regret? My friend once said “do not make promises when you’re happy and try not to talk when you’re angry” (or something like that) because in the end, anger isn’t worth it.

Regardless of the bad things happening in this world, there a lot of things for us not to be angry about. We have God! We have ice cream, sleep, Game of thrones 😂, food and friends.
Keep that anger in check. After the quarrel, it’s not worth it anymore. You know, you’d look back at some of these days and laugh about them.

  1. Good to know you did this nice piece while on transit on your phone. Such random thoughts! And I’m sure you did not forget Eccl.7:9 ‘Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry; for anger rests in the bosom of fools’. I thank God we are wise and not fools as we eschew anger.
